Exam Day
You should arrive 30 minutes prior to your given exam time, this is because some exams require a costume, there is paperwork to check and this also allows time to practice before the exam. Parents and guardians must remain in the waiting area, they are not permitted in the exam room.
For rainbows and class exam grades the pupils teacher stands at the front of the exam room to offer minimal assistance if required.
For any other exams the only people permitted in the room is the Examiner and a teacher operating the music system behind a screen.
The examiner will ask to see an exercises in the order of the syllabus. The length of an exam can vary, rainbows can last between 5 – 10 minutes – professional exams can take up to 2 hours.
