Modern

This is the perfect class for those students who are lovers of musicals and performance, our Modern classes provide a sound basis for students to develop strength, style and presentational skills. The class is designed to give pupils a broad knowledge of the skills required for Musical Theatre and also a repertoire from a wide spectrum of shows, past and present. Material is taken from a variety of West End and Broadway style productions as well as current theatre style movies. We strive to create a fun and productive environment for learning all the technical disciplines of Modern.

Our Graded classes commence with Class Examination from the age of 4, which introduces and develops rhythmical skills, coordination, spatial awareness, confidence and team building skills. Students can then progress through the Grades becoming more skilful and enjoying the intricate rhythms. Following grades 1 to 5, Intermediate Foundation to Advanced 2 encourage Vocational students, who wish to become teachers or professional dancers, to further their technical knowledge and understanding of the Modern genre.

Children with special needs are encouraged to participate in our classes and examinations.
